FAIR2Adapt

FAIR2Adapt

FAIR2Adapt focuses on turning data into useful knowledge to improve climate adaptation strategies. It works with the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) to use its tools and frameworks, ensuring data is FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable). The project uses technologies like RO-Crate and nanopublications, as well as frameworks like I-ADOPT, to create a user-friendly system for sharing open and FAIR data. Through real-world case studies, FAIR2Adapt develops resources that show how better data sharing can help address climate challenges. It supports the EU Mission’s goal of building climate resilience in European regions by sharing its results and collaborating with other initiatives. Engaging stakeholders and providing training are key parts of the project, helping to raise awareness and offer customized solutions. FAIR2Adapt’s approach is designed to be scalable and sustainable, so it can be used in different contexts even after the project ends. Its impact includes scientific progress, stronger economies, better social and environmental outcomes, and smarter policies. By encouraging collaboration and trust in science, FAIR2Adapt helps create a society that is more resilient, inclusive, and prepared for the challenges of climate change.

Fresh Thoughts leads the topic on promoting the FAIRification frameworks through transfer cases considering additional European socio-ecological systems and climate risks. As well as the cooperation between FAIR2Adapt and EU Adaptation Mission.
