The project supported the German Environment Agency (UBA) in preparing an international conference on marine litter in the European regional seas. FT contributed to the background document on the status of marine litter and the options, the regional seas should take to address the problem. FT was responsible for organising a 300-person conference, including invitations, registrations, hotel arrangements, and on-site support. In addition, FT took minutes at the conference and co-produced the conference proceedings.
