Ms. Matauschek is the event and administration manager at Fresh Thoughts. She is involved in developing the Fresh Thoughts Event Team to provide various fora where policy and scientific research can meet. In addition, she is responsible for various administrative tasks.
From November 2010 to September 2011, she played a leading role in setting up the MBA Centre Vienna, organising language courses for business-English and capacity-building workshops on the US and Austrian culture. She was further responsible for organising cultural events for US interns.
From January 2009 to November 2010, Michaela Matauschek worked as Office Manager in the Vienna office of Ecologic Institute and supported the Ecologic Event Team. A native German speaker, she is fluent in English and has basic knowledge of French.
Before starting at Ecologic Institute, Michaela was employed in the hotel and banking sectors.
From 2012 to 2015, she studied the MBA programme “Sports- and Events management” at the Danube University in Krems, with a focus on “Green events” and the use of “New Media Tools” at events. Before that, Michaela Matauschek studied Business Administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (Austria), where she focused on marketing and market research. Michaela Matauschek has extended experience in organising online and on-site workshops, courses, seminars, conferences, study visits and congresses.
