In Albania, the status of water bodies is to be improved and harmonised with EU environmental legislation. Expected results include: the full transposition of EU water legislation into national legislation, the finalisation of river basin management plans, the establishment of a national water monitoring system, the development of a national marine strategy, the development of wastewater management and the improvement of the sustainability of water and wastewater utilities.
Fresh Thoughts Consulting supports the Austrian Development Agency in this project by evaluating the methodology of the project and making recommendations to improve the approach and timeline.
