Luxembourg, like other EU Member States, implements the Water Framework Directive (WFD) and its provisions for exemptions under Articles 4.4 and 4.5. These articles offer flexibility in achieving the WFD’s “good status” objectives for water bodies, but only under strict conditions. Fresh Thoughts together with “Landscape Integrated” support the water administration in defining exemptions for the 4th River Basins Management plan.
