Within the contract, the results of the study “Potential of multi-purpose-use of the hydropower reservoirs of the Drin cascade in Albania” were forwarded to the GIZ staff. This included, above all, placing the results from the Drin/Albania case study in a broader context and drawing conclusions about transferability in the context of the water-energy-food security nexus.
As a result, an article was written as a discussion paper as part of the GIZ’s internal discussion paper series on sustainable hydropower use.
