D3HUB is an EU-funded project that promotes decentralized disaster risk management and strengthens climate resilience in tourism regions. The project brings together public authorities, destination management organizations (DMOs), and civil society to improve preparedness and response to climate-related risks.
Fresh Thoughts contributes by preparing and delivering webinars, producing a project report and a learning report, and supporting pilot regions during the implementation phase. In a webinar, we introduced a structured approach to climate risk assessment, highlighting how tourism is affected by climate hazards, exposure, and vulnerability.
Participants explored types of adaptation measures ranging from governance tools and financial instruments to nature-based and awareness-raising solutions. Real-world examples and data needs were discussed to support practical application.
