Mongolia: Improvement of Guideline on River Basin Council establishment

Mongolia: Improvement of Guideline on River Basin Council establishment

Within the frame of its activities in Mongolia to “strengthening water governance at river basin level” by facilitating cooperation and building capacities, 2030 WRG aimed with this consultancy to improve and renew the existing guidelines (Order A-124 MET on River Basin Council (RBC) establishment, 2013) and to enable the RBC activity in the frame of the law and guideline.

The activities performed included to coordinate the assessment, stakeholder interviews and to celebrate a workshop; and to develop a legal impact assessment. A new Guideline on water governance has been endorsed by the Mongolian Government in March 2018.
