Thomas Glößl

Thomas Glößl has been a researcher at Fresh Thoughts Consulting since 2022, specialising in water and environmental policy. He is involved in various projects, with a particular focus on environmental protection, climate change adaptation, water resources, droughts and floods, as well as nature-based solutions.

In the field of policy and governance, his expertise lies in EU water legislation, including the WFD, the FD, and the TWD. His country profile concentrates on EU member states.

Thomas holds a Master’s degree in Environment and Sustainable Management from the IMC FH Krems (2022). He also earned an engineering degree (equivalent to MSc) from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (2024), where he specialised in water and energy management and wrote his thesis on water allocation. Additionally, he is a certified corporate waste manager and environmental auditor.
